Building insulation using Thermimo super insulation

Thermimmo Fort requires a smooth surface for installation, a protective layer, and careful handling to avoid damaging its outer envelope.

Never pierce or force the envelope of Thermimmo Fort!

Thermimmo Flex, on the other hand, can be cut, drilled, and adjusted without difficulty.

Fixing Thermimmo Fort

  • By gluing directly onto the surface.

  • With hook‑and‑loop fasteners (Velcro‑type). In this case, one part of the strip is attached to the surface and the other to the Thermimmo Fort panel. This type of fixing allows a panel to be replaced easily if needed. It also creates a 3–5 mm air gap for ventilation. It works very well for small surfaces (apartments, houses, etc.). The insulated surface can then move slightly and respond to external pressure.

For large surfaces, to ensure perfect stability, the hook‑and‑loop fixing must be reinforced. In this case, M3 plastic screws are used, placed at the joints between four panels.

Afterwards, the Thermimmo insulation is covered with a protective fabric (glass fiber, cut‑resistant) or a finishing board.

Fields of Application

The Thermimmo Fort / Thermimmo Flex system can be used for all types of insulation, both indoors and outdoors: walls, roofs, attics, lofts, flat roofs, and floors.

Attic and Roof Insulation

  • On sloped surfaces for converted attics.

  • On undersides of rafters.

  • On the floor for unconverted attics, or directly on the ceiling of the upper floor thanks to the low thickness and light weight of Thermimmo Fort, with the addition of a vapor barrier on the warm side.

If temperatures may exceed 60 °C in summer (roof, exposed façade), avoid direct exposure of Thermimmo Fort to sunlight and add a protective layer on the warm side (1–2 cm air gap or glass wool).

Exterior Wall Insulation

  • Under cladding

  • Under render

  • Balconies and concrete slabs: Conventional insulators often require costly decoupling. Thanks to its low thickness, Thermimmo Fort can wrap the slab, simplifying the work and reducing costs. The same advantage applies to windows, doors, and thresholds, where insulation becomes simpler and faster.

Interior Wall Insulation

  • Thermimmo panels can be glued or fixed with hook‑and‑loop fasteners.

  • They can also be installed on a metal or wooden frame.

The low thickness of Thermimmo provides a significant gain in surface area and volume, while avoiding heavy work to reach Energy Performance Class A. You save money by preserving living space, and therefore the value of your property.

Low Floor Insulation

  • From below

  • From above

Thermimmo can be used in both configurations. Permanent contact with water or prolonged humidity must be avoided. Its low thickness makes installation easier and allows direct placement on the floor, covered with a finishing layer suitable for foot traffic.
